iPass allows Sopris Surfers clients to dial a local phone number virtually anywhere in the world and connect to the Internet using your Sopris Surfers account. iPass suggests as many local area access telephone numbers as possible from your intended location. Sopris Surfers and iPass Do Not Guarantee that all recommended numbers are local, as telephone companies may change their local call areas without notification to Sopris Surfers or iPass. Customers must confirm with local telephone carriers that recommended numbers are currently local from the intended dial up location. When a recommended number is accessed and is local, connection charges are as stated on the most recent iPass Connect Dialer available. Many access numbers within the United States are only .04 cents a minute. Some access numbers may be more expensive, as stated on the most recent iPass Connect Dialer available. Please update your dialer regularly. Any unexpected fees from telephone carriers cannot be disputed through Sopris Surfers or iPass.
How it works:
iPass coordinates a worldwide network of dialup POPs. This download Wizard contains the phone numbers for all the cities where iPass access is available. When you get to your destination you simply run the Wizard, indicate what country and city you are in, and the Wizard create a dialer icon for you to double-click on to get connected. iPass reports your monthly roaming usage information back to us and we add it to your regular monthly Sopris Surfers billing.
To use iPass simply download the iPass dialer and install it. It will create a dialer on your computer that contains the local numbers for connecting from virtually anywhere in the world.
