- How much does MailArmory cost?
MailArmory filters and blocks both unsolicited email (spam) and email viruses. It aggressively filters up to 95% of all spam, as well as known email viruses, destined for your email box. MailArmory can save you time and your company money by eliminating spam and protecting your computer from email viruses, which typically take up large amounts of system and human resources.
- Go to www.mailarmory.com
- Type in your full email address in the Email address box.
- Type your password, in lower case letters, in the Password box.
- Press enter.
- This takes you to your Captured Mailbox.
How to Release your Captured Messages
The Captured Mailbox is a separate holding area on the MailArmory system that contains all messages that have been filtered from your normal mail. The interface shows details on each message. If a message is legitimate, you can choose to "release" the message, which will simply deliver it to you regular inbox.
- Login to MailArmory. You will be taken to your Captured Mailbox.
- Click the checkbox next to the legitimate message(s).
- From the drop-down list directly above, choose “Release All Marked Messages".
- Click the “Process" button.
- All selected messages are sent to your normal Sopris Surfers mailbox.
How to Adjust your filter settings (Very Easy method)
Login to MailArmory.
Click the "My Settings" link near the top of the page:

Click the "Adjust My Settings" link:

Click in the circle next to "Set my account to recommended settings":

Click the "Next>" button:

Click the "Use My New Settings" button:

Your new settings take effect immediately!
How to Adjust your filter settings (Easy method, more control)
- Login to MailArmory.
- Click the “My Settings" link at the top of the page.
- Click the “Adjust My Settings" link in the middle of the page.
- Click the circle next to "I want to customize my settings".
- Click the "Next>" button.
- You are offered options. If there is a button below the list that says "Simple", click it now.
- Click the "Next>" button.
- From the 3 options given, select how aggressively your mail should be filtered.
- Click the "Next>" button on the next 2 screens.
- On the Notification settings that you see, use the selection box to choose if you would like daily notifications of captured messages.
- Click the "Next>" button.
- Click the "Use my new settings" button. These new settings take effect immediately.
How to Adjust your filter settings (Advanced method, precise control)
- Login to MailArmory.
- Click the “My Settings" link at the top of the page.
- Click the “Adjust My Settings" link in the middle of the page.
- You are offered 3 options. Click the circle next to "I want to customize my settings".
- Click the "Next>" button.
- You are offered options. If there is a button below the list that says "Advanced", click it now.
- You are offered 4 options. Click the circle next to "Default ( Capture spam )".
- Click the "Next>" button.
- You are offered 10 options about how aggressively spam will be filtered. Click the circle next to your choice. NOTE: On this scale 1 is most aggressive.
- At the bottom of the list there is a drop-down box where you can tell MailArmory to automatically trash blatant spam. You can leave it as-is or select to auto-trash certain spam.
- Click the "Next>" button.
- Click the circle next to your choice of how long to keep captured messages before they are deleted.
- Click the "Next>" button.
- Click the circle next to "Yes, block and store all viruses."
- Click the "Next>" button.
- You are offered a drop-down box and 2 checkboxes. From the drop-down box choose how frequently you want to receive notifications of captured messages. Read the checkbox options and choose which boxes to check. These options have no effect on how your filter works.
- Click the "Next>" button.
- This final screen shown your old settings and your new settings. Look them over to make sure they as you like them.
- Click the "Use my new settings" button.
- You have successfully adjusted your filter settings. You can adjust them as often as you wish, based upon your needs.
How to Add addresses to your Accept List (approved senders)
If you currently have a message in your Captured Mailbox from a sender that you want to permanently approve, do the following:
- Login to MailArmory. You will be taken to your Captured Mailbox.
- Click the checkbox next to the message(s) from the sender you want to Accept.
- From the drop-down list directly above, choose “Always Accept marked Messages".
- Click the “Process" button.
- The sender of the selected message(s) are now added to your Approve List.
- To manually create an Accept List, do the following:
- Click the “My Settings" link at the top of the page.
- Click the “Accept List" link in the middle of the screen.
- Read carefully the instructions on this page.
- Add Accepted sender email addresses, one per line.
- Click OK.
- From now on this sender's messages will pass through the filter.
How to Add addresses to your Reject List (blocked senders)
To manually create a Reject List, do the following:
- Login to MailArmory.
- Click the “My Settings" link at the top of the page.
- Click the “Reject List" link in the middle of the screen.
- Add Reject sender email addresses, one per line.
- Click OK.
How to turn off Spam Filtering and / or Virus Filtering
Note: Sopris Surfers HIGHLY RECOMMENDS that you DO NOT turn off the virus filter!
- Login to MailArmory.
- Click the “My Settings" link at the top of the page.
- Click the “Adjust My Settings" link in the middle of the page.
- Select “I want to customize my settings", and click Next.
- Select “No, let all spam through.", and click Next. (disables spam filter)
- Select “No, let all viruses through.", and click Next (disables virus filter)
- Click Next.
- Click “Use My New Settings".

- Login to MailArmory.
- Click the “Support" link at the top of the page.
- You may use the Search box, or click the “browse" link just below.
- The MailArmory support area has answers to virtually every question you may have about the service, and how to use it.
How much does MailArmory cost?
MailArmory is free to all of our users.
The Terms of Service listed at the MailArmory website state there is a fee for the service. As a Sopris Surfers user the fee clause does not apply to your account; there is no additional cost to you.
