Here is the short version of the required information for an @sopris.net account:
- Incoming mail server: mail.sopris.net
- POP3 Username/Login: joesmith@sopris.net (your full email address)
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.sopris.net
- My outgoing server requires authentication should be enabled. If it asks for a username and password you would use your full email address as the username and your email password for the password.
To set up a new email account:
First there must be an email "mailbox" set up on the Sopris Surfers server. If you have not already had this done, please contact technical support at 963-7873.
Once you have a mailbox on our server, you need to configure your email program. Choose your email program from the following list:
- Open your web browser, and go to http://webmail.sopris.net
- Login. Your username is your full email address.
- You can view, create, send, delete/expunge and move messages.
- Be sure to log out when you are done.
